Jamie L. Turner
Jamie practices exclusively in the area of family law and that has been the focus of his practice for the last twenty six years.
When representing clients, Jamie does his utmost to resolve family law disputes quickly and on the best possible terms for his clients without having to undergo contested court proceedings but when a matter cannot be resolved, Jamie has extensive experience as a litigator in the area of family law. Jamie routinely appears at all levels of court in Manitoba, not only in Winnipeg but also in Morden, Selkirk, Portage la Prairie and Brandon.
In addition to practicing at our Winnipeg office, Jamie has been attending at our offices in Morden and Winkler on a weekly basis for the last ten years in order to represent our family law clients in the Pembina Valley. One particular area of interest for Jamie is assisting owners of family farms in dealing with the unique challenges that are created by marital difficulties.
Jamie received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Winnipeg in 1989 and his Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Manitoba in 1994 where he was the recipient of the David Levin Memorial Prize. In 2007 Jamie decided to move his practice from his boutique family law firm and join PKF and since that time he has been representing clients in contested family litigation proceedings, in negotiating and preparing pre-nuptial, cohabitation and separation agreements, and in adoption and guardianship matters.
Jamie provides additional services in the area of real estate transactions, wills and estate planning to his family law clients.
