David Charach
David graduated from the Robson Hall Faculty of Law in 2021, and was called to the Manitoba Bar in 2022. Before attending law school, David completed his undergraduate in political science while working as an educational assistant and tutor. Between degrees, David was employed with the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba as a legislative intern, where he researched and assisted with the preparation of Bills related to the Departments of Justice and Families.
David has a general practice with a focus on Wills and Estates and Family Law. He is determined to assist clients navigate the legal system, particularly where they may be going through a period of transformative life changes. Seeking to mitigate the challenges clients often face when seeking access to justice, David is willing to use negotiation and collaborative approaches to resolve legal issues where appropriate, while never losing sight of his clients’ best interests.
A born and raised Manitoban, David loves Winnipeg and is passionate about working with the members of his community, both professionally and outside of work. He has previously volunteered to coach various sports teams, and was also a volunteer advocate for Cystic Fibrosis Canada in the fight for Cystic Fibrosis patients to receive expedited access to life saving treatment within the country and province.
During his years at Robson Hall, David provided research to Public Interest Law Centre and completed an 8 month “externship” with Legal Help Centre during his third year, where he provided legal information and assistance to Manitobans dealing with issues relating to Family Law and Consumer Protection. David was also involved with the Manitoba Interfaith Immigration Council’s Welcome Place, where he assisted refugee applicants (asylum seekers) with their applications to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
When he is away from his office, David can be found with friends and family in the outdoors, where enjoys skating, cross-country skiing, hiking and fishing. Most of all, David loves to explore Manitoba’s backcountry lakes by canoe with his pride and joy, his miniature red poodle.
