Folklorama Celebrates Tom Frohlinger

Folklorama has congratulated PKF’s Tom Frohlinger in their most recent Llama Tales newsletter:

Congratulations Tom Frohlinger

Folklorama50 has been a most memorable milestone in the organization’s history. We are also incredibly grateful that this year, we are celebrating another milestone as Tom Frohlinger marks his 25th year of service as Folklorama’s honourary legal counsel!

Tom Frohlinger has been in legal practice for 38 years and joined Pullan Kammerloch Frohlinger lawyers in 2000. He acquired his education in law at the University of Manitoba and his degrees in geology from McGill University and the University of Manitoba. Tom came to Canada as a refugee from Budapest, Hungary in 1958 at the age of 12. His new homeland’s enthusiasm for celebrating and promoting multiculturalism resonates deeply with him.

Early in his legal career, Tom decided that he wanted to become more engaged with serving Winnipeg’s multicultural community. He connected with the Folk Arts Council of Winnipeg Inc. (now Folklorama Inc.) in 1995 and considers it a privilege to have advised Folklorama, its board and staff ever since.

Tom holds dual Canadian-Hungarian citizenship and remains involved in the local Hungarian community. In 2004, he was appointed as Honourary Consul of Hungary and was knighted by the Government of Hungary in 2017 for his services to Hungary and the Hungarian diaspora in Winnipeg.

Tom is married to Heather and together, they have three wonderful children who have all been involved in Folklorama over the years. He is truly appreciative to Folklorama and all its members for being able to serve and looks forward to continuing in his role trusted advisor and honourary legal counsel.

We are very thankful to Tom for his expertise, guidance and 25 years of unwavering support of our organization and look forward with gratitude to working with him as Folklorama moves into its next 50 years!
