David was born and raised in Winnipeg. He graduated from the Faculty of Law in 1981 and was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1982. David was called to the bar with both Tom Froehlinger and Vince Bueti. He articled at the former Pitblado & Hoskin, and became associated with the firm of Daniel F. Williams QC in January of 1983 in Selkirk. This firm was being the successor firm to a number of firms in the selkirk area dating back approximately 100 years.
Upon Mr Williams’ retirement in 1986, David took over the practice and has been operating it since that time, both in conjunction with associate lawyers and as a sole practitioner. Currently Adam C. Kelso is associated with the practice.
David’s practice has largely been a solicitor’s practice with emphasis on real estate, wills, commercial and corporate transactions and municipal law.
David has been involved in various civic organizations over the years in Selkirk and is a long time member of the Selkirk Rotary Club. He is very proud to participate in that organization, which has done so much good in the world, including spear-heading the virtual eradication of polio around the globe.
David is married to Barb and has two adult children. David and Barb travel regularly and maintain a sailboat at Winnipeg Beach during the summer months. David looks forward to his annual ski trip with his law school friends, including Vince Bueti. David also plays hockey and notes with some satisfaction that he has played hockey, in every decade of his life. David intends to continue to do so until he gets good at it.
David is eagerly looking forward to becoming a part of the PKF family.
