Andrew Derwin
Andrew graduated from the Robson Hall Faculty of Law in 2020, and was called to the Manitoba Bar in 2021. Prior to law school, Andrew completed a Bachelor of Arts and graduated with distinction. Each year in the Faculty of Arts, Andrew was on the Dean’s List.
Andrew has a general practice with a focus on Civil Litigation. He enjoys helping his clients navigate the confusing litigation process and finding creative, cost effective solutions. Andrew believes that it is best to avoid court when possible. However, if necessary, he will confidently advocate for his clients.
Following his second year at law school, Andrew worked at the Residential Tenancies Commission, which has left him with a strong understanding of the law and procedure relating to landlord and tenant disputes.
In his time at Robson Hall, Andrew co-founded and organized a faculty social that raised money for KidSport Canada. Andrew was also an executive of the Robson Hall Jets, the faculty hockey group, and helped plan and organize a trip and tournament to Grand Forks for Law Students.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys staying fit through working out, playing sports and hiking. He also enjoys fishing, and spending time with his friends.
