Gary Michael Sarcida
B.A., LL.B.

Gary Sarcida joined Pullan Kammerloch Frohlinger as an articling student in 2004 and was called to the bar in June 2005. His current practice is general in nature with an emphasis on personal legal services. He has also appeared at all levels of court - The Manitoba Court of Appeal, Manitoba Court of Queen's Bench (Civil and Family Divisions); the Provincial Court of Manitoba; the Federal Court of Canada and Small Claims Court. He has also appeared before a number of administrative tribunals - the Automobile Inquiry Appeal Commission; the Residential Tenancies Appeal Commission; Office of the Commissioner of Review Tribunal - Pension Appeals; the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada; and the License Appeal Board.

As a member of Winnipeg's Filipino community Gary adds a valuable language and cultural ingredient to the firm. He can fluently communicate in the official Filipino language of Tagalog. He is involved with the Manitoba Filipino Business Council Inc., the Philippine Heritage Council of Manitoba Inc., the Southeastman Filipino Association of Manitoba Inc., and the Philippine Association of Manitoba Inc.

Currently he is serving on the Board of Directors of the Winnipeg Art Gallery (WAG), being appointed by the Province of Manitoba in September 2018.

Gary has also served on the Board of Directors of Folklorama and the Folk Arts Council of Winnipeg Inc. from 2006 to 2012. During his tenure he served as Chair of the Member Relations and Review Committees.

A man of incredible drive, Gary lives by these words from Vince Lombardi, "The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but a lack of will."

Away from the practice of law, he spends time with his wife, family and their dog Nutmeg. You can also find him cheering on the Winnipeg Jets, the Blue and Gold, the Miami Dolphins and his beloved LA Lakers (as he bleeds purple and gold).
