PKF Lawyers is always looking to add smart, capable, and motivated articling students to join the firm. We look for future partners.

The PKF Advantage

We provide an engaging learning environment for our articling students where they have the opportunity experience and participate in legal scenarios that will add to their knowledge base and prepare them for a successful career in law. Our articling students consistently report that they receive excellent support, instruction, guidance, and valuable hands-on experience throughout their articles. You will not be “lost in the shuffle” here and will not be left teaching yourself how to practice. We take our commitment to you seriously and want you to succeed.

You will have the opportunity to work in and acquire experience in a variety of areas of practice and given exposure to your specific areas of interest. As part of our team you will observe, learn and participate in numerous aspects of practice, including:

  • Conducting research
  • Drafting agreements and correspondence
  • Drafting estate planning documents
  • Drafting Pleadings
  • Attending and making submissions in Court
  • Attending business meetings and negotiations
  • Meeting with clients

Our goal is to help our students progress to point where they are able to conduct such matters with minimal assistance but have a full team of experienced lawyers to assist as required.

The future potential of continued employment with PKF Lawyers is of prime consideration when assessing articling candidates so that we may continue to grow and build a successful practice.

“I have enjoyed my articling experience at PKF.  During my articling year, I have had a chance to work with several lawyers and gain experience in many areas of law.  I am particularly thankful that I was able to article in a mid-sized firm such as PKF, where I have been given more responsibility and exposure than I would have had elsewhere.  PKF’s lawyers and staff provided a supportive work environment, which I look forward to contributing to as an associate.”
